As part of Maker Nexus’s presence at Bay Area Maker Faire 2023, I designed an LED “Neon” soldering workshop where anyone could walk away with a cool desk lamp that they built themselves.  I designed a series of templates for LED Neon lamps and created a project kit complete with switches and power ports so that people could build their own faux neon lights.  The workshop was a great intro to soldering with LED strips and how to wire up a project, accessible even to people who hadn’t soldered before.
