The Puzzle Witch is a peculiar puzzling practitioner who appears at puzzle events, conventions, and all kinds of places where puzzley folks gather. Solve their puzzle, and you too can join their puzzle coven.

The Witch offers one puzzle per event, and you can submit your solution in person or online. If you present your answer in person, you’ll get a special trinket that marks you as a member of the coven.

  • The stars on the side with the glyphs have 8 points, but the stars on the instruction side only have 6. How would you make a 6 sided star using this piece of paper?

  • In the configuration for the 6-sided star, the bottom two glyphs form a word. For example, if the two glyphs were a worm and a piece of wood, the word would be “wormwood”.

  • The solution will require you to put two six-sided star configurations together to create an eight-sided star. Then read the glyphs along the bottom.
