The Puzzle Witch is a peculiar puzzling practitioner who appears at puzzle events, conventions, and all kinds of places where puzzley folks gather. Solve their puzzle, and you too can join their puzzle coven.

The Witch offers one puzzle per event, and you can submit your solution in person or online. If you present your answer in person, you’ll get a special trinket that marks you as a member of the coven.

  • The stars on the side with the glyphs have 8 points, but the stars on the instruction side only have 6. How would you fold this paper to make a six sided star with the indicated glyphs at the top?

  • To make the 6-sided star, pinch one of the inward-pointing folds together to make a flap, and then flip the flap up or down. You’ll create a triangular pyramid shape. Face the symbols indicated on the six sided star on the back of the paper upward, then look at the bottom two symbols to make a word.

    (For example, the first six sided star gives the word “eyeball”)

  • The solution will require you to make two pyramid structures back to back and create a word from the bottom four symbols.
